Capacity Building

Capacity Building

Our capacity-building initiatives for women in the energy and extractives industries are gaining momentum, driven by the inspiring successes of these women and the impact of our training programs. We aim to empower women artisanal and small-scale miners to directly benefit from their work and significantly contribute to the economic development of their mining communities.

AWEIK’s capacity-building efforts focus on stimulating sustainable economic growth through various activities, including educative workshops, fireside chats, seminars, caucuses, conferences, and programs designed to develop key regulations and discuss policies that drive positive change and better governance in the sector.

We collaborate with national and county government entities, leaders in the energy and extractives sectors, civil society organizations, and local and international experts to ensure the delivery of high-quality, impactful learning and education programs that address the critical needs of women in the extractives sector.
